whee... there was p.e. again today!
i sound so enthusiastic about this... well, not really D: but there was lots of fun today!

there was this inter-class captainball competition. though i wasn't really there to cheer for my class, i was *somewhere* () faraway to watch the match.
so i was faraway. and i didn't count the goals. it was too confusing... and it was a kinda tough match like:
HAH! but i knew that one team kinda scored more! and guess what! heh heh...
WE WON!

won by 2 goals ... but still! we won~!~!~!

the MYE comes and goes like the breeze! 1e4 strolled through the exams and it was a breeze... well, that is, all the exams excluding the art exam. since this is the first year that they are taking an art exam, naturally they'd find that the questions made no sense to them.
but somehow they managed to make it through everything. yeahh... some of them were very frustrated. yeahh, rossalina was looking mighty angry with herself for her ugly drawing. but she's glad that everything is over!
and 1e4 will be getting their results back this coming monday...

Most of the answers can be found in the textbook. The worksheet contains some hints for the exams, so please do it diligently!
question 1b:
- "How does clearing or vegetation affect the water cycle? "
Ans: since the number of plants decrease, the amount of water vapour given out by the plants during transpiration also decreases. Hence the transpiration process of the water cycle is reduced / affected.
question 2ai:
- The black patch of ink on pg 1 is actually a Stevenson screen. Description and explanation of its features must be precise. Your ans shld be:
The Stevenson screen is a raised white box with louvres. The louvres allow air to circulate freely and it being white and raised, prevents direct absorption of heat from the sun and the ground respectively.
when you draw the rain gauge, please include all the essential components.
and also remember the characteristics of the tropical rainforest, especially the 3 layers [emergent, canopy, undergrowth]. the underground is sparse (not dense) because much sunlight is blocked off by the taller plants.

today was temperature taking day. -.-l it was interesting, yeahh. adss is a VERY strict school [not sarcasm] so those who didnt bring their thermometer had to stand up during assembly and well, share the commonly used thermometer- with the thermometer plastic on it.
amazingly, yes, the whole 1e4 brought their thermometers. everyone was pleased and shocked. they didnt really expect the whole class to bring their thermometers! i guess it's for the secondary 1 level only... it cant be the whole school right? thats practically impossible.
not only that! we have 3 april babies with birthdays in a row! 26APRIL- hafizah~ 27APRIL- meiting~ 28APRIL- daniel~ woots! turning 13 on these dates!

been really boring around 1e4 these few days... nothing interesting so far? well, probably. only that the homework strewn in like the waters of the tsunami... oh my goodness...... as they struggle[something like that.] with their homework and project, they manage to complete at least three-quarters of their homework...[all for some brainiacs.]
English [and Mother Tongue] oral for the whole secondary 1 level today... what a blast. *sighs* the passage was long, yes indeed... some had problems with the words... i think one of 'em was... galzing-WHAT? thank God, there wasnt this picture conversation... it was a conversation with the teacher! it's kinda easy. but when the teacher looks at you in the eye, it's like the teacher is suddenly gonna gobble you up! ok... thats what i think...

the newspaper was a huge event for 1e4... yes, they did what they should do, yet it wasn't their best... they waited a LONG weekend and Monday finally comes! they wait in anticipation...
Mr Chong (YAY!), their form teacher, was impressed at their collection. but 1e4 still came in the 3rd?! as he said, "4t1 got about 1600+kg and 4e4 got 1300+kg..." but he was glad as they did the best in their level. 1e4 IS happy as they made their form teacher PROUD~! i'm very sure 1e4 will make their FT proud... woohoo!

though this competition took place in January, i decided to bring it up again... :)
our school had a noticeboard competition... secondary 1s based on fairy tales [blearghs], secondary 2s based on mystery and i dont know the rest. well... the malay girls in my class were very enthusiastic about this event [woohoo!], i'm very proud of them. they did a pretty job, pinkish and all, fluffy cotton wool, nice book reviews... wow!
we waited for the results... on the day which they read out the results came very fast. WOW! 1e4 got in the SECOND place... woots! hey, watch it okei. in this competition[in the level], there is only FIRST and SECOND place. and there are NINE classes in my level, ya.

a jam-packed week... yes, at 1e4 of adss~ going around the neighbourhood near their school, collecting unwanted newspapers, magazines and clothings to help the poor and the needy in the 3rd world countries. oh, how nice of them, how passionate~
they, 1e4, motivated to rest of the school to bring those unwanted stuff, and they might get the motivation award! brenda, one of the students, was not impressed at her class, saying, "i know we could've done better. 4e4 had over a 1000kg... we only had 903kg!" another student, rossalina, was kind of laid-back, she said, "we got 903kg, it's pretty good for our level. at least we got 3 CIP hours..." vivian, one of those who went around collecting those unwanted stuff, said, "i enjoyed going around collecting the unwanted newspaper, magazines and clothings. but i was touched at the kindness of the residents there."
as for me, yes, i also went around collecting the unwanted stuff... it is fun and exciting, but i still knew that 1e4 could have done better!
